Sara
Alexander and Reynaldo Madrid were married on December 18, 1999 in
Globe at the Noftsger Hill Inn Bed and Breakfast at 11 AM in a double
ring which included Unity Candles. Judge Robert Duber II performed
the wedding ceremony for the couple.
The bride is the
daughter of Carla and Jerry Alexander of Miami. She graduated from
Miami High School in 1998 and attended Eastern Arizona College at Gila
Pueblo Campus in Globe. She is currently a student at Yavapai
College in Prescott.
The bride was
given away in marriage by her father, Jerry Alexander. Her maid of
honor was Stephanie Pastor, her best friend from Globe and her
bridesmaid was Nicole Bateham, the groom's niece, from Philomath,
Oregon. The ring bearers were Wade and Sheldon Alexander, nephews
of the bride, from Aztec, New Mexico.
The bride wore
an empire style satin and chiffon wedding gown. The bodice was
covered in lace and pearls with scalloped edge on the neckline and
sleeves. She carried a bouquet of deep wine colored roses in full
bloom with an embroidered fan which belonged to the groom's maternal
grandmother who lives in the Philippines. The maid of honor and
bridesmaid wore deep wine colored velvet dresses with matching
jackets.
The
groom is the son of Bruno and Lolita Madrid of Eugene, Oregon. He
is a helicopter pilot with Omniflight Helicopters. The groom's
best man was Joe Flanagan, a friend, from Prescott and the groomsman was
Erik Bateham, a nephew, from Philomath, Oregon.
A reception and
luncheon buffet was held immediately following the wedding ceremony at
the Noftsger Hill Inn Bed and Breakfast. The luncheon buffet was
catered by Guayo's El Rey in Miami. The wedding cake was made by Pamela
Hulme of Noftsger Hill Inn.
The honeymoon
trip to the Oregon coast was enjoyed by the newlyweds. The couple
is currently residing in Prescott.
